Guatemala Mayan Hotel
James A. McBride II, architect, while living in Guatemala, central America, had the opportunity to design this hotel in Guatemala City. Robert von Zimmerman, architect and artist, collaborated with McBride to develop this delineation of the new hotel design for Guatemala City, in the year of 1970.
The concept of this design is to produce an indigenous expression of the location and cultural heritage with Spanish and Mayan influences.
The hotel was never constructed due to the inability of investors to remove profit proceeds from the state of Guatemala.
