Stela 10 presents a striking portrait of a moustached lord bearing a serpent bar which proclaims his high office. Although a profuse, textile like design tending to lack central focus, the sculpture displays a masterful technical ability on the part of the artist. The hieroglyphic text contains fascinating references to a number of other Maya cities, including Tikal.
